Bio

HI my name is Christina Mollison, I am thrilled  to be joining the College Counseling team at St. Monica’s High School. I have been passionate about college counseling and supporting student wellness for as long as I can remember. And now, as a mother and counselor who cares deeply for this planet and it’s future- I believe more than ever, that we must counsel our students to access their faith and inner power through prayer and inner stillness in order to help them cope with the uncertainty and fear that sometimes surrounds us. I am passionate about guiding students to access their inner strength as they embark on the  adventure of finding the right college fit.

I received my Masters of Education in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish from University of Notre Dame. At Harvard I had the privilege of working in Undergraduate Admissions with prospective applicants and their families as a Harvard interviewer. Prior to joining St. Monica’s, I  have worked in a variety of college counseling settings. I have worked in public, private and charter high schools as a college counselor. I have spent the majority of my career working as a private college counselor with families from around the world guiding students to get into the top universities around the country. I also worked as a writing specialist-combining my love for writing and vast experience in college counseling to help students embark on their personal statements.

Though I have enjoyed working as a private counselor I am happy to now find a home at St. Monica’s. As a long-time member of the St. Monica family - I am thrilled to be in a school that integrates a faith-based education and a mission of global service reminding me of my time at Notre Dame where service and leadership are as important as academic excellence. This is something I work towards with all of my students as we look towards their futures. I am eager to be a part of that already present Mariner spirit and commitment. When I am not working as a college counselor you will find me enjoying spending time with my wonderful family-my  husband Daniel who is a witty Englishman from Surrey, England and our two young children Lucas and Olivia.
