St. Monica Catholic High School remains committed to continuing to meet the financial needs of the families that have chosen SMCHS as their school. Further, SMCHS has a need-blind admission process - your ability to pay for tuition is not looked at when considering your child for admission. SMCHS offers several need-based financial aid opportunities as well as academic and leadership scholarships. Need-based financial aid at St. Monica Catholic High School is granted solely on the basis of family need and the availability of funds. Academic scholarships are offered to any 8th grade student who scores in the 99th percentile nationally on the HSPT exam. Leadership Scholarships are offered to 8 incoming freshmen and are awarded based on the applicants' leadership in activities, athletics, and/or community service during their elementary school experience.
Need-Based Financial Aid
SMCHS strongly recommends that families begin the financial aid process early. Need-based financial aid awards do not renew automatically each year. Families receiving financial aid one year must reapply each year in order to be considered for a new financial aid award.
Effective November 2016, financial aid applications will be filed through FACTS instead of the Private School Aid Service (PSAS). The information reported on the application will be used to determine financial aid eligibility and distribution amounts for all SMCHS need-based financial aid awards. Once the financial aid funds have been exhausted, no more financial aid is disbursed. The online application has been redesigned to make it easier to use.
