Senior Damien V. received the Archdiocesan Christian Service Award for his extensive work with the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Monica's Leaders in Training (LIT) and Keystone programs, which help train youth to become leaders through community service. He served over 400 hours with these programs in addition to the 100 required to graduate from SMCHS. We are so proud of his accomplishments and the sacrifices he has made to remain committed to developing young leaders.
SMCHS alum Oscar R. (SMCHS '00) was selected as a teacher recipient of the Archdiocesan Christian Service Award. He was honored for his "outstanding dedication in directing students in Christian service activities and modeling for them a commitment to the Gospel through service to others" in his current roles at Verbum Dei High School.
Congrats, Mariners! Way to "transform the world as responsible citizens and stewards"!
